Hank Haney will try to fix Ray Romano's golf swing

Ray Romano, who became rich and famous playing me - a Newsday columnist who writes in his basement - in a TV sitcom is prepping for his next TV gig:

As swing master Hank Haney's first post-Charles Barkley undertaking on the Golf Channel's "The Haney Project."

Romano signed a Giants column I wrote on Sept. 15, 1999 - 10 years ago yesterday - after Mrs. WatchDog requested he do so as a birthday present.

This is what he scrawled over it:

"Neil, your wife wrote a letter that's twice as good as this column. Kidding. It did inspire me to write back, though. Best wishes, happy (late) birthday. Go Giants (and Jets, Yankees and Mets). (I miss N.Y.) Ray Romano."
