HBO to spotlight Joe Calzaghe, Roy Jones Jr.

I'm pretty sure the first play of the Chiefs-Jets game was a play-action pass, which I'm pretty sure means WFAN's Craig Carton won his bet with partner Boomer Esiason, which I'm pretty sure means Carton now will sit in Esiason's seat for the Calzaghe-Jones bout at the Garden Nov. 8.

Speaking of which, Sunday night HBO debuts the third installment of its "24/7" series and its first that does not feature Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This time it's, yup, Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Sr. who are profiled in the promotional reality series.

It's a shame this concept was invented too late for Mitch (Blood) Green. That would have been even wackier than Mayweather's appearances, no doubt.
