Jets blow season, but perhaps avoid prime time

(Credit: Watchdog)

Oh, heavens. I'm a little disoriented from trying to follow Steve Tasker's rare analyst double-flip-flop regarding Eric Mangini's fourth-down strategy this Sunday, but now that my head is starting to clear . . .

It would appear that the Dolphins-Jets game Dec. 28 now is much less of a no-brainer for prime time on NBC than it appeared to be before the Jets blew their season.

That would be good news for fans wanting to avoid sitting out in the dark and cold next weekend. Of course, the bad news is, well, their team probably just blew its season.

If the Broncos don't come back to win tonight, I would think Broncos-Chargers for all the marbles in the awful AFC West now would be a fine choice for NBC's finale.

And no one would complain about cold weather!

We'll see.

(UPDATE: The Broncos lost. Hmm.)
