Neil Best leaves no stone unturned in the world of sports media.

Jimmy Breslin on Steinbrenner, NYC, Tip O'Neill, Del Webb . . .

Above is the oddest moment of Tuesday's George Steinbrenner coverage: Jimmy Breslin talking to ESPN's Brian Kenny - a former Newsday delivery boy in Levittown.

Among other bizarre moments the two disagree over the state of New York City in the mid-1970s. "This town never has much trouble," Breslin says. "It's New York!"

Classic.

Here is the newspaper version of the Steinbrenner appreciation I wrote for Newsday.
