Good morning, WatchDog Nation!

I'm not sure how many of you still are out there, but even if it's only one, we're going to keep this party going for as long as they let us.

Here is my latest newspaper column, in which Joe Buck discusses his evolution from smart-aleck twentysomething to middle-aged sports broadcasting institution (sort of).

The blogging pace will be slow and sporadic over the next week, but don't take that to mean I have lost my enthusiasm because of the site's new "subscriber" model.

I will be back in full force eventually, but for now my priority is covering a certain sports event in the Bronx and Philadelphia for the newspaper.

Prediction: Yankees in 5 . . . hours.
