Marcia Brady nose football

Baby Boomers across America were saddened Tuesday over the passing of Sherwood Schwartz, who shaped the course of late 20th century Western Civilization by creating both “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Brady Bunch.’’

The latter featured cameos by famous jocks Wes Parker, Don Drysdale, Deacon Jones and Joe Namath.

But the most memorable (and traumatic) sports moment in the Bradys’ artificial turf yard was the dark day Peter plunked Marcia in the nose with a football, causing much swelling. We try not to think about it.

Anyway, here’s a trivia question I posed on Twitter, which 90 percent of tweeps got wrong. Who is the only athlete to guest on both “The Brady Bunch’’ and “The Odd Couple?”

For the answer, see twitter.com/sportswatch.
