Mets-Cards a ratings hit

Sorry for slow pace of blogging. Have had some technical issues. All this was much easier back when I just handed my copy to the Western Union operator then got on the train to join the players for poker, booze and cigars.

A few more tidbits from Saturday's Mets-Cardinals game for true ratings geeks:

The 3.0 national rating for Saturday's regional coverage was Fox's best in the regular season for a game other than Yankees-Red Sox since June 28, 2008, when regional coverage featuring the Mets and Yankees and Cubs and White Sox averaged 3.2.

The 6.5 average for the New York market was Fox's best for a Mets game (not including Mets-Yankees games) since a 6.6 for a Braves-Mets game in 2001.

The 18.3 rating in St. Louis was the best since a 25.0 for Mark McGwire's 60th home run game on Sept. 5, 1998.
