Pedro Martinez, a three-time Cy Young Award winner, and reporter Tom Verducci will join Keith Olbermann in Turner Sports' studio for the Major League Baseball playoffs.

The network's coverage begins Oct. 1 and 2 with the National and American League wild-card games.

Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling and Cal Ripken will be TBS' No. 1 announcing team through the NLCS.

Ripken replaces John Smoltz, who was moved onto play-by-play man Brian Anderson's announcing group; Smoltz is a leading candidate to succeed Tim McCarver as Fox's lead analyst next year.
