Neil Best leaves no stone unturned in the world of sports media.
Tom Coughlin, the media and me
Good morning, America. Here is some stuff before I get to work on my newspaper job:
Here is an article about Tom Coughlin's image and relationship with the media in which I am quoted extensively.
If you have an interest in obnoxious jokes about the length of time between the regular-season finale for Oregon and Auburn and the BCS Championship Game, my Twitter feed is the place for you!
There also is information there about NBC's "Sunday Night Football" ratings, which will make the show the first ever sports series to finish No. 1 in prime time, barring an unlikely early 2011 challenge from the fading "American Idol."
(New York finished 50th among 56 major markets in SNF ratings with an average of 11.5. New Orleans (25.0) was No. 1; Hartford (10.4) was No. 56.)
Also on Twitter, I made the observation that Game 5 of the 1999 Finals finished Spurs 78, Knicks 77, and that the score at halftime last night was Knicks 72, Spurs 69.
About a minute later, Al Trautwig made the same observation on MSG.
Am I accusing him of copying me? No. I have no idea what happened. I chalked it up to a bizarre coincidence.
Also on Twitter comes this news: Dan Patrick's show is coming to MSG Plus later this month!
Moving on . . . Is the Sugar Bowl over yet?
