Neil Best leaves no stone unturned in the world of sports media.

Whither the NCAAs in 2011?

I spoke to CBS Sports president Sean McManus and NCAA poobah Greg Shaheen about the size and TV venue of the 2011 men's basketball tournament and wrote this short newspaper story about it.

In other NCAA Tournament news, CBS plans to show this year's Final Four in 3D in select theaters as an experiment.

And Jennifer Hudson is the new singer for "One Shining Moment," the first woman to handle that sacred TV duty.

In non-NCAA news, YES will televise the groundbreaking for the Nets' Barclays Center live beginning at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Should be a wild scene, featuring protestors, the governor, the mayor, Jay-Z and other colorful characters.

Nomar Garciaparra has joined ESPN's stable of studio/game analysts, another step in the Bristol Stompers' mission to hire every living former major leaguer not currently working as a manager or coach, or as an analyst for the MLB Network.

They're almost done now, I think.

I'll be back to normal blogging Thursday. Visited Red Bull Arena today. Nice.

Enjoy the 2007 Northeast Conference final between Central Connecticut State and Sacred Heart at 5 p.m. on ESPN Classic.
