Yogi's grammar sometimes is off, but not his spelling

(Credit: Watchdog)

A couple of loyal readers who care about language and spelling - quaint! - pointed out that I moronically quoted Yogi Berra's "forward" for Bobby Murcer's new book in my Sunday newspaper column.

It would have been much less embarrassing if I had referred to it as a "foreword," but I did not, and for that I apologize profusely and promise to be more careful in the future.

(Before I started blogging I made fewer mistakes in my newspaper articles. Not that I'm making excuses or anything . . . )
