Garrett Wilson is not going anywhere.

The star wide receiver and the New York Jets have agreed to a four-year, $130 million contract extension, according to multiple reports. The agreement will keep him with Gang Gren through the 2030 season, which will kick in following the expiration of his rookie contract following the 2026 campaign.

The deal includes $90 million guaranteed, a $13.75 million signing bonus, a $20 million option bonus in the second year, and a $10 million option bonus in the third. With an average annual value of $32.5 million, he becomes the fifth-highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.

The 24-year-old now has an opportunity to cement himself as one of the greatest wide receivers in franchise history. Selected No. 10 overall in 2022 out of Ohio State, Wilson has recorded three-straight 1,000-yard seasons.

Only Don Maynard and George Sauer have three or more 1,000-yard receiving seasons with the Jets — both of their last such seasons coming in 1968.

Wilson already ranks 15th in Jets history with 279 receptions and 13th with 3,249 yards. He won the 2022 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and has managed to produce despite the revolving door at the quarterback position, which has featured three Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Aaron Rodgers running the offense.

During the failed Rodgers experiment last season, Wilson had a career year with 101 catches for 1,104 yards and seven scores.

Cementing Wilson in New York for the next six seasons only confirmed what the new regime of general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn already made known since their arrival back in March: They wanted to keep their young superstar talents in house.

That means a deal for corner Sauce Gardner, who was chosen six picks ahead of Wilson at the 2022 draft, could be around the corner, as well.
