Obama in Hiroshima: See photos of wreath-laying ceremony

On Friday, May 27, 2016, President Barack Obama became the first U.S. president to visit Hiroshima.

Obama laid a wreath at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in a gesture that Tokyo and Washington hope will showcase their alliance and invigorate efforts to end nuclear arms.
