MTA weekend service changes: What to know before riding the subway

Here's a look at the MTA service changes from Friday night to Monday morning.

No. 1 trains

Trains in Manhattan will run between South Ferry and 137th Street. Service between 137th Street in Manhattan and 242nd Street in the Bronx will be replaced by A and C trains, M3, M100 and free shuttle buses.

No. 2 trains

Flatbush Avenue-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Bergen Street, Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway.

All trains from Third Avenue-149th Street in the Bronx will board at the Manhattan-bound platform (Sunday, 5 to 10 a.m.).

No. 3 trains

Normal weekend service.

No. 4 trains

New Lots Avenue-bound trains in Brooklyn will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Utica Avenue.

No. 5 trains

Service between East 180th Street in the Bronx and Bowling Green in Manhattan will be replaced by 2 and 4 trains (Sunday, 7:45 to 10 a.m.).

No. 6 trains

Service will runs in two sections: Between Brooklyn Bridge and 125th Street in Manhattan and along the 4 line to and from 149th Street-Grand Concourse in the Bronx, and between 125th Street in Manhattan and Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx.

Pelham Bay Park-bound trains in the Bronx will skip Brook Avenue, Cypress Avenue, East 143rd Street, East 149th Street and Longwood Avenue.

No. 7 trains

Trains will run between 34th Street-Hudson Yards in Manhattan and Willets Point in Queens. Service between Willets Point and Main Street in Queens will be replaced by free shuttle buses.

A trains

Inwood-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Kingston-Throop, Franklin, Clinton-Washington and Lafayette avenues.

Trains will run every 10 minutes between 207th Street in Manhattan and Rockaway Boulevard in Queens (Saturday, day and early evening).

C trains

168th Street-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Kingston-Throop, Franklin, Clinton-Washington and Lafayette avenues.

Euclid Av-bound trains in Manhattan will skip 50th, 23rd and Spring streets.

Trains will run approximately every 12 minutes.

E trains

Jamaica Center-bound trains in Queens will skip Briarwood.

World Trade Center-bound trains in Queens will run express from 71st Avenue to Queens Plaza.

B trains

The B does not run on weekends.

D trains

Coney Island-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Union Street, Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street.

Trains will run about every 12 minutes (days and evenings).

F trains

Jamaica-bound trains in Queens will skip Briarwood and Sutphin Boulevard.

Coney Island-bound trains will run along the E line from Roosevelt Avenue in Queens to Canal Street in Manhattan and along the A line to Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn.

Coney Island-bound trains in Brooklyn will run express from Jay Street-MetroTech to Church Avenue.

M trains

Service between Metropolitan Avenue in Queens and Essex Street in Manhattan will be replaced by J trains and free shuttle buses (Sunday, 4:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.).

G trains

No trains. Service will be replaced by F trains between Bergen Street and Church Avenue in Brooklyn and free shuttle buses between Court Square in Queens and Hoyt-Schermerhorn in Brooklyn.

J trains

Trains will run between Broad Street in Manhattan and Crescent Street in Brooklyn. Free shuttle buses will make all J train stops between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and 121st Street in Queens and connect with the E train at Jamaica-Van Wyck.(3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

L trains

Normal weekend service.

N trains

Coney Island-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Union Street, Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street.

Astoria-bound trains will run along the R line from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn to Canal Street in Manhattan.

Trains will run approximately every 12 minutes (days and evenings).

Q trains

96 St-bound trains will run along the R line from DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn to Canal Street in Manhattan.

96th Street-bound trains in Brooklyn will run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park (Saturday and Sunday, 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

Trains will run approximately every 10 minutes (days and evenings).

R trains

Bay Ridge-bound trains in Queens will run express from 71st Avenue to Queens Plaza.

Bay Ridge-bound trains in Brooklyn will skip Union Street, Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street.

W trains

The W does not run on weekends.

S shuttle

Normal weekend service.

Z trains

The Z does not run on weekends.
