MTA weekend service changes: What to know before riding the subway

Here's a look at the MTA's plans from Friday night to Monday morning: 

No. 1 trains

No trains between 96th and 137th streets.

Uptown trains will skip 79th and 86th streets.

Service will operate in two sections: Between South Ferry and 96th Street and then along the No. 3 line between 96th and 148th streets (skipping 145th Street), and between 137th and 242nd streets. 

No. 2 trains

No trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn. 

No service at Park Place, Wall, Clark and Hoyt streets. 

Trains replace No. 5 train service between Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street.

Downtown trains will run local from 96th Street and Times Square-42nd Street.

Uptown trains will skip 79th and 86th streets (midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, midnight to 5 a.m. Monday).

No. 3 trains

No trains running.

No. 4 trains

No trains between Utica and New Lots avenues.

Woodlawn-bound trains will skip 161st, 167th, 170th, 176th streets and Mt. Eden Avenue (3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

Service will operate every 16 minutes between 125th Street and Woodlawn (7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday).

No. 5 trains

Trains replace No. 2 train service between Wakefield-241st Street and East 180th Street.

No. 7 trains

No trains between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street.

Flushing-bound trains will skip 82nd, 90th, 103rd and 111th streets (3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

A trains

Trains will run local in both directions between 125th Street and 59th Street-Columbus Circle.

E trains

World Trade Center-bound trains will run local from 71st Avenue to Queens Plaza.

B trains

The B does not operate on weekends.

D trains

Coney Island-bound trains will skip 155th Street and run local from 125th Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle.

Norwood-bound trains will stop at 14th and 23rd streets and run local from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 145th Street.

Coney Island-bound trains will skip Union Street, Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, Prospect Avenue and 25th Street (midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, midnight to 5 a.m. Monday).

F trains

No trains between Church and Stillwell avenues.

Manhattan-bound trains will run local from 71st Avenue to 21st Street-Queensbridge.

M trains

No trains between Essex Street and Broadway Junction (6:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday).

Shuttle trains run every 20 minutes between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle-Wyckoff avenues (7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday).

J trains

No trains between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center (3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m., Sunday).

N trains

Astoria-bound trains will skip 39th Avenue and Broadway.

Coney Island-bound trains will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to 59th Street, Brooklyn (midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, midnight to 5 a.m. Monday).

Astoria-bound trains will run along the R line from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Canal Street (10 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday).

Q trains

96th Street-bound trains will run along the R line from DeKalb Avenue to Canal Street (10 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday).

R trains

Bay Ridge-bound trains will run express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to 59th Street, Brooklyn.

W trains

Special service operates between Whitehall Street and Ditmars Boulevard (7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday).

Astoria-bound trains will skip 39th Avenue and Broadway (7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday).

Z trains

The Z does not operate on weekends.
