East Village hotspot Boulton & Watt (5 Ave. A, boultonandwattnyc.com) has decided to celebrate the season by turning their popular cast-iron cookie into a spring cast-iron cookie, with M&Ms in pastel hues subbing in for the usual chocolate chunks and strawberry milk taking over from plain milk. The texture of the cookie is what makes it one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant, he said. The inside retains its brownie-like consistency. The strawberry milk is made with real strawberries, Rotter said. He blends whole milk with strawberries and a touch of sugar.
