Stop into Greenpoint's El Born for a hot skillet of crispy paella just like you're in Spain! Bobby Flay's Southwestern restaurant Gato was popularized in 2014 for its kale and mushroom paella, not exactly Spanish, but delicious.

There are so many ways to celebrate today! Grab some elote (Latin American corn with cheese) on a stick at spots like La Flor de Guererro Deli & Grocery in Elmhurst or at Cafe Habana. You could also chow down on a corn dog on a stick from Crif Dogs or just grab one from a stand at Coney Island. For an Asian twist, consider grabbing some yakitori skewers at Zuma or Ootoya.
