New Yorkers are terrified of taco seasoning: ipiit study

A New Yorker's biggest fear? Taco seasoning.

Seriously.

ipiit, an app which analyzes food products for their allergens, has run the numbers, and taco seasoning was one of the most-scanned items in America and New York City this year. With three different brands in the top 10 lists, it makes us wonder what is really in taco seasoning?

According to the data, New Yorkers worried about allergens are most prone to gluten-free or wheat-free diets, followed by a preference for artificial sweetener-free, aspartame-free and MSG-free foods.

Here are the top 10 foods New Yorkers checked for allergens this year.
