Eat and Drink NYC pie from Little Pie Company, Two Little Red Hens Bakery, Petee's Pie Company and more By ALYSSA SEIDMAN / Special to amNewYork Updated October 27, 2015 11:38 AM Print Share fbShare Tweet Email Apple, pumpkin, pecan -- oh pie! Summer can keep its berry treats, and lemon meringue can stay in spring; for fall, it's often about the mainstay of so many holiday tables: Apple, pumpkin and pecan pies. But bakeries around the city have taken the autumnal food tradition in new directions, whether it's by combining new ingredients or exotic flavors. Now that you're craving a slice, here are some of the best places for you to get your seasonal pie fix in New York City. Little Pie Company Photo Credit: Garrett Zeigler via Flickr The made-from-scratch pies at this little Hell's Kitchen shop are a true nod to eclectic and familiar flavors. In addition to year-round pies, Little Pie Company also features three seasonal treats: pumpkin, sweet potato and cranberry apple crumb. If you can't settle on just one, try a Little Pie Fall Sampler, which includes four five-inch versions of their most popular pies. This hasn't taken away from their success in the dessert department, however, as Bubby's continues to stay true to their first love: pies. Although they only offer five flavors (Michigan sour cherry, organic peanut butter chocolate, key lime, banana cream, and of course, apple), their corner storefront in the heart of TriBeCa provides an antique yet modern atmosphere where you can have your pie and eat it, too. Bubby's seasonal flavors include pumpkin, pecan maple and apple whiskey crumble. Petee's Pie Company serves up locally-sourced, homemade pies year round, and offers seasonal flavors as well. These include brown butter honey pecan, Hudson Valley apple, pumpkin, sweet potato and maple whiskey walnut. The shop also offers a pumpkin spice pie available during fall. Info: 30 Prince St., littlecupcakebakeshop.com (212) 941-9100.
