Rainbow pancakes are NYC’s newest multicolored breakfast food

Move over rainbow bagel, there’s a new multicolored snack in town.

The Pavilion, Union Square’s open air restaurant, is launching al fresco breakfast service, starting on Wednesday, April 27.

On the menu: Eggs Benedict, an asparagus and muchroom omelette, a hangover-helping smoked salmon and egg sandwich on a bagel, and the colorful birthday pancakes served with blueberry compote.

At $11.95, these rainbow-hued pancakes cost a bit more than a rainbow bagel – but you can reserve a table and enjoy complimentary beignets with your breakfast at this sit-down restaurant.

The Pavilion will serve breakfast on weekdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. – perfect natural light for your rainbow Instagram pics.
