Sprinkles Cupcakes ice cream shop opens in NYC

In the world of dessert, cupcake fads come and go... but ice cream is forever.
Sprinkles, never afraid to try something new (they did bring us a Cupcake ATM just last month), will be scooping frozen treats at NYC's first Sprinkles Ice Cream shop April 25.
Located at 780 Lexington Ave. between 60th and 61st streets, the shop will serve up flavors ranging from coffee fudge almond and cap'n crunch to peanut butter cup and blood orange sorbet. But what really caught our eye is the specialty creations, because, well, we believe we deserve to have our ice cream cupcake sandwich, and eat it too. Here are nine desserts we're getting pretty excited about.
