Detectives are looking for two men who stole a package containing an expensive watch from a residential building in Midtown, police said.
The two men entered the building at 7 Park Ave., at East 34th Street, and told the doorman they were employees of a man in the building and were there to pick up a package, according to officials.
They obtained the package, which had a Ulysse Nardin watch valued at over $5,000, then fled in an unknown direction. Police said the thieves did not know the victim, a 48-year-old man.
Officials released surveillance images of the two men wanted for grand larceny in the 17th Precinct. They are both described as between 30-40 years old, one with a thin build and a mustache, the other with a large build and a beard.
Anyone with information about their identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, or for Spanish dial 888-57-PISTA, visit the Crime Stoppers website or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
