Everything tastes better when it’s free. As the back-to-school season approaches it’s about time we give a special thank you to the people who helped get us where we are in line now, teachers.

Beginning the week of Aug. 15 popular fast food chain Chipotle will select 2,000 teachers to give free meals to their entire faculty. This averages at nearly $1 million dollars worth of Chipotle.

“Teachers Cultivate a Better World by shaping the next generation,” said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer. “As a longtime supporter of education, we are encouraging our fans to join us in recognizing teachers and their impact on America’s youth.”

The way teachers from K – 12 can win this opportunity for their school is by being tagged in Chipotle’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter account’s comments. Just as teachers make a major impact on their students, they must also make an impact in the comments. Everyone tagging their favorite teacher should leave a comment about why they deserve to win and how that teacher has made positive changes to their life.

Teachers aren’t the only ones feeling the love. Using their Round-Up for Real Change feature on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com, the company will aid the Kids In Need Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization that helps students and schools in-need partner with capable teachers to receive the quality education students deserve. They will also receive necessary supplies like notebooks, folders, pencil packs and pouches, sharpeners, rulers, erasers, highlighters, sticky note pads and pens.

Through Aug. 31 those ordering online and through the app will be encouraged to round up their order total to the nearest dollar to donate to the Kids In Need Foundation Supply A Teacher Program.
