Alec Baldwin is returning to "Saturday Night Live," but not to host for his 17th time ... just yet.
The "30 Rock" actor will be playing the role of Donald Trump for the late-night show's season premiere, opposing Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton.
A video posted to the show's official Facebook account shows McKinnon and Baldwin getting into costume for "Trump vs. Clinton: Saturday Night Live," teasing to the Oct. 1 premiere date. "The night we’ve all been waiting for. #SNLPremiere," the post said.
Most recently, the role of Trump was played by former cast member and current "SNL" announcer Darrell Hammond, who has parodied the businessman for the show multiple times since the 1990s. Whether Baldwin's appearance as Trump will become a recurring role like Hammond's is unknown.
"Saturday Night Live" returns this weekend at 11:30 p.m. with host Margot Robbie and musical guest The Weeknd.
