The Broadway musical “Big Fish,” which opened earlier in the fall to largely dismissive reviews, will throw in the towel on Dec. 29, its producers announced Sunday. a third extension

Still no word on whether the Jeanine Tesori-Lisa Kron musical “Fun Home” will transfer to Broadway. However, the Public Theater extended its Off-Broadway run on Tuesday through Dec. 15 — its third extension to date. Other than perhaps the double bill of “Twelfth Night” and “Richard III,” it’s hard to think of any other show this fall that received as much acclaim.
