Beyoncé and Jay Z spotted days after ‘Lemonade’ release

Despite speculation of marital discord prompted by lyrics in Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” the singer and her husband, music mogul Jay Z, were photographed together Tuesday for the first time since the album’s release on Saturday.

E! News on Wednesday ran images of the couple riding in a golf cart at Marlins Park stadium in Miami, where Beyoncé, 34, would kick off her Formation World Tour that night. They sit close together, and in one shot Jay Z, 46, is smiling while she appears to look at the camera with a neutral expression. The photos are very grainy, suggesting they were taken with a telephoto lens.

Beyoncé wore what appeared to be concert wardrobe, with either a short black dress or a top-and-skirt ensemble, spangled black stockings, black boots, and a wide-brimmed black hat, while Jay Z appeared more casual in a white T-shirt, bluejeans, a dark hoodie, a baseball cap and white sneakers.

Another photo showed Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, dressed head to toe in black, riding with others in a separate golf cart.

Over the weekend, Internet rumors claimed that fashion designer Rachel Roy was the mystery woman in Beyoncé’s new song “Sorry,” some lyrics of which read, “He only want me when I’m not on there / He better call Becky with the good hair.” On her now-private Instagram account, Roy, 42, wrote, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.” The designer later said the post was not meant seriously.

Rumors of infidelity — never confirmed — had arisen in May 2014, when an elevator surveillance video surfaced that showed Beyoncé’s sister, singer Solange Knowles, pummeling her brother-in-law Jay Z while Beyoncé simply looked on. Shot at Manhattan’s Standard Hotel on May 5, following a party after the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it quickly went viral.

The couple and Solange Knowles soon issued a statement saying any issues had been resolved. In August 2014, Beyoncé and Jay Z — who married in April 2008 and welcomed daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012 — were photographed being publicly affectionate at Los Angeles’ Budweiser Made in America festival.
