Celebrities react to Trump's tweets about transgender military ban

President Donald Trump on Wednesday tweeted his plans to prevent transgender people from serving in the U.S. military, creating an uproar on social media.

Trump tweeted that the military cannot be "burdened" with the "tremendous medical costs" he says transgender enrollees would bring. His announcement comes one year after a ban on transgender men and women serving in the military was lifted.

Transgender celebrities were among the many A-listers who immediately fired back on social media, calling his statement "unacceptable."
