Corey Feldman proposes to Canadian girlfriend of four years fearing new immigration laws

Actor Corey Feldman has proposed to his girlfriend of four years, Courtney Anne Mitchell.

Feldman, 45, told People magazine Wednesday that he feared the Vancouver native might otherwise be unable to stay in America, explaining they “didn’t want to risk being separated by new immigration laws.”

The proposal, which took place last weekend in Palm Springs, came in the form of a note, Feldman told the magazine, explaining he was nervous. “So I kinda chickened out and did a written proposal by writing a note with two check boxes, one for yes and the other for no,” he said. “Of course, there was a ring in there with the note. Luckily she said ‘yes!’ ”

Former child-star Feldman previously was married to actress Vanessa Marcil and to Susie Sprague, with whom he has a 12-year-old son, Zen.
