Now that the Jonas Brothers have broken up, Joe Jonas is tossing his Disney-manufactured image in the trash.
In a new article in New York magazine, the 24-year-old talks about everything from smoking pot (his first time was with Miley Cyrus and ex Demi Lovato) to losing his virginity at age 20.
"The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley," he said. "I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, "Try it! Try it!" so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don’t even smoke weed that often anymore."
A big part of the goody-goody image projected by Joe and brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas their decision to wear promise rings, which signified waiting until marriage to have sex.
"Because of our age, because of Disney, because of those rings, there were so many things … that we had to sugarcoat," Joe said, adding that: "We decided to take the rings off a few years ago."
