Special to Newsday April 14, 2015 6:47 PM Print Share fbShare Tweet gShare Email An online video appears to show Justin Bieber and an apparent member of his security team being thrown out of a backstage area at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Sunday in Indio, California. TMZ.com, which posted the video, says Canadian pop star Bieber, 21, argued with Coachella security after arriving at the artists' entrance. Although Bieber and his entourage were properly credentialed and had been invited by performer Drake, the site reported, security said the artists' area was at capacity. TMZ.com reported Bieber told Coachella security that he couldn't watch Drake's show from a public area because he likely would be mobbed by fans. A Coachella staffer said she would escort Bieber inside. As the two began walking, however, Coachella security followed and put Bieber in a chokehold, TMZ said. The site added that Bieber said he left voluntarily and that his camp is considering legal action against the guards. Bieber's spokeswoman and a Coachella news representative did not respond to Newsday requests for comment. In recent months, the singer has attempted to rehabilitate a reputation tarnished by assault and vandalism charges, reckless driving in residential neighborhoods, videos of vulgar activities and other incidents.
