Kate Hudson Snapchats apparent date with NFL’s J.J. Watt

Actress Kate Hudson went on a date Monday night with NFL star J.J. Watt, according to a Snapchat video taken by themselves or friends.

The 40-second video, which went online publicly, opens with Hudson, who turns 37 on Tuesday, adorned with images of stars from the messaging app’s graphics functionality. As an on-screen caption reads, “JJ don’t get no stars….? This is not right,” Houston Texans defensive end Watt, 27, comes into frame and asks, “How come I don’t get any stars?” Hudson replies, “I don’t know,” and as she laughs, Watt jokes, “Well, I’m not worthy of the stars. I’m not worthy of the stars!”

As the on-screen caption changes to read, “Snap chat…. Give him some stars!” Watt says humorously, “Dammit, Snapchat! Give me stars!” and adds moments later, “Apparently, the stars belong to the hottest one on the date.”

The video ends with Watt suitably starred and the couple cheering.

Watt, who set an NFL record in 2014 as the first player with 20 or more sacks in two different seasons, is a four-time First-Team All-Pro. Hudson stars with Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Julia Roberts in director Garry Marshall’s comedy “Mother’s Day,” due out April 29.

The daughter of Oscar-winner Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, Kate Hudson has two sons: Ryder, 12, with ex-husband Chris Robinson of the band The Black Crowes; and Bingham, 4, with ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy of the band Muse.
