James, author of the Fifty Shades trilogy -- the books that brought S&M erotica to the bestseller lists and inspired this year's movie with Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan -- announced on social media on June 1 that she has written a new novel from Christian Grey's point of view. "Grey" will be published in paperback in the United States by Vintage Books on June 18. "Hello all. For those of you who have asked, Christian's POV of #FSOG is published on 18th June for his birthday. It's called GREY...I hope you enjoy it," James posted to her Instagram account with an image of the cover. The dedication of the novel, according to a statement released by Vintage, is "This book is dedicated to those readers who asked ...and asked ... and asked...and asked for this." The novel was not made available to reviewers. The Fifty Shades trilogy -- "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" -- began as online fan fiction, became a self-published book and was later acquired by Vintage in 2012. The series has sold more than 125 million copies worldwide in 52 languages.
