Emmys 2016: ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘Mr. Robot,’ more New York shows win big

Your favorite New York shows won big on Sunday night during the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Rami Malek won outstanding lead actor in a drama for his role of Elliot Alderson in “Mr. Robot,” and “Saturday Night Live’s” Kate McKinnon took home outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series in an emotional acceptance speech.

A supporting “Girls” character even left with a statuette.

But, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “The Affair” and “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” were among the New York-centered nominees that didn’t bring home wins.
