‘Fast and Furious’ sequel ‘Fast 8’ adds Scott Eastwood to cast

Scott Eastwood, actor son of movie icon Clint Eastwood, has joined the “Fast & Furious” movie franchise with the upcoming “Fast 8.”

Eastwood, 30, one of two children Clint Eastwood had with flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, will appear as a member of the covert team from “Furious 7,” according to the film’s verified Twitter page Monday: “Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody has a new protégé. Welcome Scott Eastwood to the Fast family. 4.14.17. #F8.” Minutes later, Eastwood also tweeted the movie’s abbreviation.

He joins the recently announced Charlize Theron in the series starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez.

Upcoming Eastwood films include Oliver Stone’s drama about NSA leaker Edward Snowden and David Ayer’s DC Comics movie “Suicide Squad.”
