"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce," the couple said in a statement to TMZ.com Tuesday. "We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children's privacy, as we go through this difficult period." The couple have a 2-year-old son, Maceo Robert Martinez. Berry also has a 6-year-old daughter, Nahla, with her former partner, model Gabriel Aubrey. Berry, 49, and French actor Martinez, also 49, married July 13, 2013, at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France. "Monster's Ball" Academy Award-winner Berry, who plays the mutant superhero Storm in the "X-Men" movie franchise, met Martinez when they filmed the thriller "Dark Tide" in South Africa in 2010. In March 2012, he confirmed their engagement, which had been rumored since that January. Berry was married to baseball player David Justice in the 1990s, and to R&B musician Eric Benét in the early 2000s. In 2010, she broke up with Aubry.
