Actor John Krasinski said Monday that he and his wife, “Sicario” star Emily Blunt, recently welcomed their second child.
“What better way to celebrate the 4th . . . than to announce our 4th family member!!!” former “The Office” star Krasinski, 36, tweeted. “2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th.” Krasinski and Blunt, 33, have a daughter, Hazel, born Feb. 16, 2014.
The couple married in May 2010. Their representative had confirmed the second pregnancy in January.
Blunt, whom Disney said in May will play the title role in its upcoming film sequel “Mary Poppins Returns,” likewise stars in the title role of the mystery thriller “The Girl on the Train,” scheduled for release Oct. 7. Krasinski, who recently starred in Michael Bay’s “13 Hours,” directed and stars in “The Hollars,” a drama that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is set to reach theaters on Aug. 26.
