Dench apparently was up for the first-ever outstanding performance by a female actor in a "leading roll" — that’s right, roll — award for “Victoria & Abdul.” The glaring mistake appeared onscreen as the nominees for the category were announced and though it only displayed for a moment, Twitter was quick to capture the error. “Roll? Someone was hungry when they wrote this,” one Twitter user wrote as screenshots of the mistake flooded social media. The Academy- and Tony-award winning actress didn’t win in the bread category, nor did she take home the statuette for her role of Queen Victoria in the flick. Dench was up against Frances McDormand, who won for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “Lady Bird’s” Saoirse Ronan, “I, Tonya’s” Margot Robbie and “The Shape of Water” actress Sally Hawkins. The SAG Awards didn't join in on the social media conversation, but "crust" us, these are the "leading roll" nomination reactions you need to read.
