Entertainment 'Lion King' and 'Aladdin' casts hold sing-off at LaGuardia 'The Lion King' and 'Aladdin' Broadway casts have airport sing-off When the casts of two Broadway shows meet in an airport... magic happens. By ELISSA SALAMY email@example.com June 4, 2015 4:18 PM Print Share fbShare Tweet gShare Email The Broadway casts of "The Lion King" and "Aladdin" hosted an impromptu a cappella sing-off at LaGuardia Airport after storms delayed numerous flights Sunday night. The casts were stuck in the airport for six hours after their flight to Orlando was delayed on Monday, according to Mashable. The casts of each musical took advantage of the downtime with a sing-off, captured on video by bystanders. The Lion King cast started off with its opening number, "Circle of Life." The Aladdin cast then fought back with a freestyle rap by James Inglehart, who plays the Genie character. The free concert from some of Broadway's most talented casts appeared to delight the other travelers stuck at LaGuardia. It sure beats the always-on news monitors set to CNN.
