The rapper-actor has been tapped to perform Wednesday, April 15, for the opening of the 14th annual Tribeca Film Festival, organizers of the event announced Friday. The concert, at Manhattan's Beacon Theatre, will follow a 7:30 p.m. screening of "Live From New York!," a documentary that salutes "Saturday Night Live" and explores how it has become a cultural phenomenon. Ludacris, 37, who has appeared as both a host and a musical guest on "SNL," said in a statement, "As a storyteller through music and acting, it is especially meaningful for me to participate in an event that is centered on spotlighting great stories." Tickets for Tribeca's opening-night festivities are $70-$355 and are on sale at tribecafilm.com/livefromnewyork. The film festival runs Wednesday through April 26.
