Online reports. The episode has been timed to air in conjunction with “Joining Forces,” a nationwide initiative created in 2011 by Obama and Jill Biden, wife of the vice president, to support members of the armed services, veterans and their families. Scenes were filmed at the White House, where Obama will be seen welcoming special agent Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the wife of a Marine for a “Joining Forces” roundtable with military spouses. The show also used actual military spouses to work as extras in the episode. This is not the first time Obama has had a TV role. She has previously appeared on “Project Runway: Junior,” “Parks & Recreation,” “Nashville” and Disney Channel’s “Jessie.” By Daniel Bubbeo firstname.lastname@example.org @dbubbeo1014 Daniel Bubbeo is an assistant entertainment editor and has been with Newsday since 2000.
