‘Nymphomaniac: Vol. 1’ screening aimed at NYC parents and babies

Oh, baby.

Forget parental advisories… the Lower East Side’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema has made a rather risque selection for its latest “Rattle & Reel” featured film.

The program aimed at encouraging parents to take in a show with tots in tow for no additional cost has announced that its next screening will be “Nymphomaniac: Vol. I.”

In case you aren’t familiar with the film, it’s exactly what it sounds like. After making waves for its explicit, full-frontal sexuality, “Nymphomaniac” has been banned in parts of the Middle East, and even its trailer has caused a stir in some U.S. theaters.

“Offering these particular screenings to parents with infants gives them an opportunity to see new films in the marketplace,” a rep for the theater told the New York Daily News, standing by the decision. “Our policy is to offer all films to our patrons regardless of subject matter or rating.”

The screening is set to take place on March 26 at noon.
