Ghost Forest: Artist Maya Lin’s latest exhibition has come to Madison Square Park. The site-responsive installation aims to bring awareness to the effects of climate change on woodlands around the world. 11 Madison Ave, Manhattan. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free.

Popupflorist x Molekule pop-up: The air purifier brand Molekule is taking over Popupflorist this weekend with gifts for New York City customers. The first 20 people at the store each day will receive a free mini bouquet, and everyone who makes a purchase will receive the Breath Clean & Bloom gift tote. 63 East 7th Street, Manhattan. May 15-16, 12 to 6 p.m.

Contemporary Dance Series: As a part of the New York Botanical Garden’s ongoing Contemporary Dance Series, Caitlin Trainor will lead the way with a one-of-a-kind spontaneous performance by her troupe Trainor Dance. 2900 Southern Boulevard, Bronx. 2 to 5 p.m. Free with the price of the entrance ticket to the Garden.

Diamond Hands art exhibition: Brooklyn-based artist REA BK is unveiling his latest installation, “Diamond Hands.” The art is made completely of under-appreciated materials earmarked for landfills, such as plastics, metals, wood scraps and other pieces of detritus, and RAE gives them new life in his art. 69 Mulberry Street, Chinatown. 12 to 6 p.m., Free.

Bronx Night Market: the Bronx Night Market has been proudly serving the Bronx, Upper Manhattan and Westchester County for years. Madison Square Math: The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is hosting a free outdoor event for math geeks and novices alike, allowing New Yorkers to safely engage with interactive math activities. The event will feature four unique mazes for participants to navigate by foot, a large scale version of the popular Connect 4 board game, a street-sized number line, and giant mathematical kaleidoscopes that allow everyone to create amazing mathematical selfies. MoMath, East 26th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Free.

Metropolitan Opera Concert for New York: Conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus and prominent soloists will perform two concerts in Queens. Attendance is limited to 150 people per performance due to COVID-19 regulations and tickets will distributed by lottery to Met audience members and to first responders affiliated with Mount Sinai’s hospital in Queens. Knockdown Center, 52-19 Flushing Ave, Maspeth. 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
