A series of pop-up ice skating shows are coming to Governors Island this weekend.

On Feb. 26, Ice Theatre of New York (ITNY) will present the 2022 City Skate Pop Up Concerts as a part of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) and the Trust for Governors Island’s first-ever Ice Sculpture Show.

The show will include three different performances: “Artic Memory,” performed by Valerie Levine and choreographed by Jody Sperling; “When Atoms Embrace,” performed by Liz Yoshiko Schmidt and choreographed by Lorna Brown; and “Take Five,” performed by Danil Berdnikov and choreographed by Eliot Halverson.

The event starts at 1:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. ITNY will also be performing at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, The Rink at Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, Wollman Rink in Central Park, Riverbank State Park, and Lefrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park this season.
