“Purple Rain” is hitting Manhattan theaters Saturday to honor Prince, who was found dead in an elevator at his Minnesota home on Thursday. He was 57.

AMC Theatres announced on Friday that participating locations across the United States will show the 1984 rock musical from Saturday to Thursday. Three Manhattan locations will play the movie: AMC Empire 25, 234 W. 42nd St.; AMC Loews 19th Street East 6, 890 Broadway; and AMC Loews Kips Bay 15, at 570 Second Ave.

“Purple Rain” stars Prince and Morris Day as rival musicians. It grossed about $68.4 million at the box office and earned Prince an Oscar for best original song score.
