Apple hoaxes: Three things iOS 8 definitely won’t do

It’s a hoax!

Every year Apple users spread rumors about new iPhone updates, and this year is no different.

Last year, a spoof advertisement claimed the iOS 7 update would waterproof your phone.

“In an emergency, a smart-switch will shut off the phone’s power supply and corresponding components to prevent any damage to your iPhone’s delicate circuitry,” the ad stated.

The fake ad looked almost identical to a real Apple ad.

This year, Apple users are fighting water with fire — literally.

Contrary to what some Twitter users believe, here are three things the new iOS 8 update will not let you do.
