You may not have heard of these designers, but you soon won’t be able to forget their names.

New York Fashion Week is just around the corner, and countless new designs will hit the runways. Beyond revered New York icons like Kate Spade and Rebecca Minkoff, a new crew of local designers will be showing off their spring/summer 2017 collections this NYFW.

Here are the new local designers to have your eye on.

Oday Shakar

Drawing from his Arab-American and Muslim heritage, the Iraqi-American designer will relaunch his brand at his first NYFW. With the mission of
With the mission of "making beautiful clothing and manufacturing consciously," designers Jacob Park and Anne Deane are supporting #NewYorkValues in their new, artsy line Öhlin/D. Wei Lin and Mijia Zhang met in 2012
