A huge cat party coming to Bushwick this May!

Meowmorial Day Weekend can’t come soon enough!

Meow Day NYC, the third celebration of all things feline, is returning to Bushwick on Sunday, May 24th.

Silent Barn (603 Bushwick Ave., Brooklyn) will host the biannual event for “cat enthusiasts, crafters, activists, and rescuers to celebrate their love of cats while supporting local TNR & adoption efforts!”

Activities will include cat themed artists, craft vendors featuring items like cat coloring books, bodega cat vintage goods and more!

New York’s very own Space Cat will make an appearance and probably rub whiskers with you in a photobooth.

And yes, cats are indeed invited to the event, if they’re leash trained. Said cats are encouraged to try on cat bow ties, by Portland-based Business Catual, an important staple in any professional cat’s wardrobe.

A Tail of Two Kitties will also have cats and kittens available for adoption. Purrfect.

So far, over 1000 people (cats not included) have RSVPed to the free event!

If you need to get your kitty fix before the big day, read up on Felines of New York, try visiting NYC’s first and only cat cafe, Meow Parlour or adopt one of these precious pets!
