For summer 2015, the Hamptons have caught a serious case of fitness fever. Whether you want to bust a high-impact dance move, sculpt your muscles, sidle up to a barre or do a vineyard-based boot camp, it’s all here. And sweating has never been quite so fashionable, as a slew of activewear boutiques have popped up all over.
But we cannot live by situps alone. Looking fab at the beach and the social scene is a must, so loads of tempting choices suit a variety of tastes — whether you’re Cali-cool, perky prepster, Boho hip or even a lover of high-end vintage.
And of course, the Hamptons home has got to look as good as its owners, and houseguests mustn’t forget to bring along the perfect gift. Plenty of interesting new shops fulfill both missions.
One thing you won’t find this summer? The Kardashian pop-up store DASH, which caused a bit of frenzy last summer. (We can’t guarantee that the Hamptons will be Kardashian-free, however.) But fear not, reality shows will still be represented. Kyle Richards, the well-known Bravo housewife of Beverly Hills, will be in town here and there, perhaps even working the register at her new Southampton boutique, Kyle | Alene Too.
