The Council of Fashion Designers of America has teamed up with the National Football league to design bespoke footballs. Fifty top designers including Rachel Zoe, Marchesa, Betsey Johnson, Rachel Roy, Kenneth Cole, Rebecca Minkoff, Alice & Olivia, Nicole Miller, Prabal Gurung and many have created sports objects that merge football and fashion. Each of the footballs inspired by Super Bowl 50 is available for auction at nfl.com, with proceeds benefitting the NFL Foundation. Take a look at some of the designs that scored a touchdown in our field. Alice and Olivia Photo Credit: NFL Stacey Bendet, who roots for whichever team her husband is cheering on, spent a month decorating this football with Swarovski crystals. Tadashi Shoji Photo Credit: NFL Shoji's favorite team is the Los Angeles Rams, as they played in the Super Bowl at the beginning of his fashion career. A celebration of Japan in the spring, this football is adorned with embroidered tulle, glass beads, grommets, leather laces and vinyl. Tanya Taylor Photo Credit: NFL A New York Giants fan, Taylor was inspired by a football left overnight in the end zone that decided to bloom. Her golden football is topped with hand-cut multicolored leather flowers, each with a center featuring the past 49 Super Bowl logos. Nicole Miller Photo Credit: NFL New York Jets fan Nicole Miller was inspired by Mexican Day of the Dead and hand painted her football with acrylic paint and topped with with silk flowers and metal studs. Rachel Zoe Photo Credit: NFL Zoe's football took a month and a half to design and was inspired by her love of sparkles. The football is decorated with Swarovski crystals in topaz, crystal and jet. Rebecca Minkoff Photo Credit: NFL New York Giants fan Rebecca Minkoff went sports meets punk with her metal spike football, which took a week to create. Betsey Johnson Photo Credit: NFL Former Syracuse University head cheerleader Betsey Johnson loves Tom Brady and The New England Patriots and designed her football to reflect a love of both cheering and football. Her design materials include over a thousand gold rosettes, vintage mannequin hands, gold, red and black paint and a wooden base.
