An adorable puppy was the talk of the Internet Monday after Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog, a non-profit organization that provides the Boston Police Department K-9 Unit with vests, posted a photo of the pup trying on a bulletproof vest on their Facebook page. The 9-week-old German Shepherd puppy, formerly known as “Batman,” hopes to one day patrol the streets of Boston as a full-fledged K-9, the Boston Police Department explained in a news release. The photo was being promoted to help sell $10 calendars. The proceeds will be used to support more Massachusetts police dogs with vests and other equipment, according to Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog. The photo was also posted to Reddit and received more than 1,100 comments. “Perfectly captures the feeling of doggy love after a long day at work,” one Reddit user posted. “He knows he’s going to do such a good job,” another commented. Well, it looks like puppy is already growing into the vest. Now the puppy is 6 months old and named “Tuco,” after a character on the AMC series “Breaking Bad,” Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog said on Facebook. Fortunately, this won’t be the last time we'll see Tuco. The model puppy will be featured in Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog’s 2015 calendar.
