Cops are looking for two individuals who robbed two people just one day apart in Manhattan.
According to police, at 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 4, a 76-year-old man was in the vestibule of a building located in the vicinity of East 82nd Street and 2nd Avenue when he was approached by the two suspects. The suspects then pulled out a firearm and demanded the victim’s property.
The victim complied and handed over $100. The thieves then fled the scene northbound on 2nd Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
At 5;15 a.m. the next day, the suspects approached a 38-year-old man outside of an apartment building on East 79th Street near FDR Drive. The crooks proceeded to assault the man and pulled out a gun, demanding his property.
The crooks ultimately were unsuccessful and fled the scene empty-handed westbound on East 79th Street. The victim sustained a laceration to his face and was treated at the scene.
